Privacy Policy

PEIAGENTS Realty Inc. ("PEIAGENTS", "we", "us") is a real estate brokerage in Prince Edward Island, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our websites, our ads on Facebook and Instagram, Messenger and our other tools, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

In short: we collect what you choose to give us so a licensed agent can help you buy, sell, rent or value a property. We never sell your information. You can ask us to see, correct or delete it at any time by writing to ft@peiagents.com.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us: your name, email, phone number, property address, and anything else you type into a form. That includes home evaluations, contact forms, tenant and buyer questionnaires, and Facebook or Instagram lead forms.
Messages: what you send us by email, text, Facebook Messenger or Instagram Direct.
Website activity: pages viewed, the device and browser used, and the ad that brought you to us. We collect this with cookies and the Meta Pixel, which are described in section 4.
Property information: public property and listing details related to an address you ask us about.

2. How we use it

To answer your request and connect you with one of our licensed agents.
To prepare home evaluations, market reports and property alerts you asked for.
To send you updates you agreed to receive. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
To measure and improve our ads and websites.
To meet our legal and regulatory duties as a licensed brokerage.

3. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the business, and only for the purposes above:

Our customer database (HubSpot) and our internal agent dashboard.
Meta Platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger) when you contact us through them or interact with our ads.
Our email, hosting and security providers, such as Resend and Cloudflare.
Lawyers, lenders, inspectors or other professionals in a transaction, but only with your direction.

Some of these providers store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local law. We do not sell or rent your personal information.

4. Cookies and the Meta Pixel

Our websites use cookies and the Meta Pixel to see which ads and pages are useful, and to show our ads to people who visited our sites. Meta may combine this with information it already holds. You can block cookies in your browser and manage ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings, under Ad preferences. Our ads follow Meta's Special Ad Category rules for housing.

5. Your consent and choices

When you submit a form or message us, you consent to us contacting you about your request. You can withdraw consent at any time. To do that, reply "stop" or unsubscribe from any email, or write to us.

6. Access, correction and deletion (user data deletion)

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. That includes information that came from a Facebook or Instagram lead form or from Messenger.

To delete your data: email ft@peiagents.com with the subject "Delete my data". Include your name and the email or phone number you used. We will confirm within 30 days. Some records we must keep by law, such as completed transaction files, are kept only for as long as the law requires.

7. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information while we are helping you and for up to three years after our last contact, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Transaction records are kept for the period required by provincial real estate regulations.

8. How we protect it

Access to our systems requires individual sign-in and is limited to staff and agents who need it. Data is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as PIPEDA requires.

9. Children

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
